New Construction Home Inspection

A new construction inspection gives you a greater ability to ensure your new home is being properly built to spec.  While it is not a Code Inspection we do look for some of the same things as the authority having jurusdiction would and more.  We look for things like an appropriate amount of electrical outlets and proper spacing of studs, but also for excessively warped or twisted boards, the placement of HVAC ducts and registers and any notching of joists or studs.  Periodic inspections can be scheduled from the beginning of construction if you would like more frequent updates about your home's progress, all the way up to the final walkthrough.  Call us to discuss an inspection for your new home

Pre-Drywall Inspection

New construction homes are not perfect, mistakes are made and that’s why we provide Pre-Drywall Inspections.  Typically these inspections are scheduled after the plumbing and electrical have been roughed in and the insulation installed.  During the Pre-Drywall Inspection we inspect the foundation, floor, roof, HVAC equipment, windows and exterior wall covering.  We check for:

Stud Spacing

Outlet Amount and Spacing

Condition of Building Materials

Plumbing Connections and Supports

Electrical Wiring and Junction Box Placement

Notched Joists and Studs

HVAC Duct and Register Support and Placement

Firestop Materials
